Responsibilities:
• Fault troubleshooting of OSI Layer’s 1 through 7 including Internet routing protocols.
• Ensure all monitored and/or reported network faults are managed in terms of recovery and escalation.
• Handle technical change requests (Cisco CLI based) from various ticketing systems.
• Manage outages with backend teams and media providers.
• Handling all business customer contacts in a professional and business manner.
• Oversee the shift operations in all technical aspects.
Requirements:
Technical
• Degree holder with 5yrs’ relevant working experience
• Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA). Preference will be given to those with CCNP.
• In-depth knowledge of OSPF, BGP, MPLS, IPVPN protocols (with practical experience)
• In-depth knowledge of Internet network and system related services (with practical experience)
• Must have worked in a Internet Service Provider (ISP) or Telco related company with at least three years working experience in similar field.
• Functional knowledge of Layer 1 Telco equipment (switching devices, NTU, MUX)
Soft Skills
• Responsible and detail oriented with the ability to multi-task
• Able to work under pressure
• Able to work on shift rotation
• Good communication and Customer relationship skills (example managing conference calls, etc)
