SSC Regional Marketing Manager
Primary Responsibilities
- Lead the implementation of Interactive Marketing strategy
- Understand the Voice-of-Customer
- Assist in the launch of new initiatives
- Lead the development and implementation of regional marketing programs in the South-East Asia & Pacific region.
Reporting to
- Vice President, Global Marketing & Business Development (in Geneva, Switzerland)
- Regional Manager, South-East Asia & Pacific (in Singapore)
Specific responsibilities
- Assess and improve the Interactive Marketing for System & Services Certification business and implement the updates on a regular basis. These responsibilities include:
- Generate updates on www.sgs.com, the global mini-sites and lead / coordinate the updates on the local versions of these sites;
- Develop and implement a comprehensive and winning traffic-driving strategy.
- Manage and improve the related programs.
- The main possible focus areas are:
Search engine optimization (keyword strategy, linking strategy)
Paid search advertising (example: Google)
- Working together with the www.sgs.com team, segment managers and with the global marketing manager is important
- Continuously improve ways to generate Information Requests and opt-ins via www.sgs.com and the mini sites;
- Manage the international webinar programs to generate an increasing amount of sales leads;
- Continuously improve the execution of the current e-newsletter program (THE PROOF) with local teams. Lead the generation of global content (which is to be applied in local versions of THE PROOF).
- Track the key metrics of IM on monthly basis (site visits, opt-in, Information Requests, newsletter opening, CTR). Report the results with conclusions and a recommended action plan to the global marketing manager and to the global segment managers. Implement the action plan once it has been agreed.
- Understand the Voice-of-Customer
- Coordinate and further improve the global (but locally executed) customer satisfaction survey
- Analyze the results on a regular basis (min. quarterly)
- Coordinate the analysis of why customers left SGS (Lost client analysis)
- Assist in the development process of new products / services
- Statistics and market trends of key services
- Assist in the collection of data for new initiative qualification. The methodology to be defined on a project basis
- Assist in the development of the roll-out plans
- SEAP
- Develop and manage marketing programs to support the growth strategy within the region. This responsibility will count about 30% of the individual’s time.
Profile
- Has min. 3 years of experience in Marketing
- Degree in Business or Communication, preferably an MBA
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
Skills
- Thinking and actions focused on how Marketing can generate sales leads and help maintain customers
- Engaging and enabling leadership skills are important. Problem solver, persuasive
- Able to manage international projects
- Ability to work with technical, marketing, sales, management personnel and other internal stakeholders at SGS global, regional and affiliate level.
- Ability to understand customer expectations on an international basis.
- Sound understanding of the management systems auditing and certification business and a good technical knowledge of the product/service.
- If the person is new to the business, she / he must be willing and interested in learning these details.
