Associate Engineer (Network Design) (Contract)
Responsibilities:
- Perform network design tasks in support of provisioning activities for selected Optus Business, Wholesale, Core and Mobile products.
- Allocation of network infrastructure required to provision services, and the generation of associated documentations.
- Manage and drive the successful and timely implementation of allocated tasks to comply with order lead times, quality and throughput KPIs.
- Liaising with other work groups to ensure the timely delivery of services and ensuring that relevant groups are kept informed on order progress or technical issues.
Requirements:
- A good Diploma in Telecommunications / Electronic / Communication Engineering from a recognized institution.
- Working knowledge of multiple technology platforms such as voice switching, TCP/IP, PDH/SDH transmission architecture, routers, Frame Relay and ATM.
- High degree of computer literacy including knowledge of PC applications such as MS Office suite.
- Experience in telecommunications network provisioning systems and processes.
- Preferably possess Cisco Certified Network Administrator (CCNA) certification or its equivalent.
- Have drive and energy to explore new ways of doing things to improve service to internal/external customers.
- Good interpersonal, written and oral communications skills in English and the ability to work in a team.
- Must be able to demonstrate a high level of customer focus for both internal and external customers.
- Ability to perform under pressure.
